Wednesday 7th October, 1315 – 1345 Lunchtime Recital with The Twa Grannies

Admission free, donations welcome

Liz Crawford and Maggie Douglas have been singing as a duo over the last few years, after starting their singing journey as part of a trio called Just 3Folk.

The Twa Grannies title comes from the fact that they share a grandson: Maggie is the “Mammy’s Mammy”, and Liz is the “Daddy’s Mammy”. They love to sing at concerts, festivals, WRI groups, birthday parties and other community events. They find it particularly rewarding to sing in care homes and for dementia groups, as music has many benefits for people who may have lost the ability to communicate, but can still sing, hum or tap along with the music. They tailor their playlists to each audience, so their repertoire includes a mixture of traditional, folk, country, ballads, contemporary and sing-along songs.
