Caraidean Gaelic and Scots song group

The Friends of Wighton monthly cappuccino concert, held on Saturday morning (21 Sept) in Dundee, this month welcomes Gaelic and Scots song group, Caraidean.

Caraidean – pronounced Càr-itch-an – (Gaelic for Friends),  comprises Norma Munro (singer/ guitar player), Kathleen Dear (narrator & singer), and Elaine Ferrie & Audrey Roshier (singers of Traditional & Gaelic music).

The group has been together for just over a year now, sharing their love of music, and Scots and Gaelic Language with audiences in the Tayside area.  They sing well-known traditional & contemporary songs, as well as some lesser-known pieces.

The concert will be held in the bright and airy space of the Wighton Centre, upstairs in Dundee Central Library, Wellgate, Dundee DD1 1DB. It starts at 10.30am with complimentary coffee andd newspapers, and then the music is from 11am to 12 noon. Admission is £5.
