16-year-old guitarist Sean Shibe is performing the August ‘Cappuccino Concert’ organised in Dundee by the Friends of Wighton, on Saturday 16th August.
He will play a programme of classical guitar music in the Maryatt Hall starting at 11am.
Doors open at 10.30am, and coffee is served and papers are available, included in the admission price of £4.50
Already recognised as a rare talent, Sean was only 15 when he was offered three separate scholarships – to the Royal College of Music, Trinity College of Music and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
From September, he will be taking up the place at the RSAMD, under the tutelage of renowned guitarist and teacher Allan Neave.
“a guitarist of rare perception … this was a recital that sidestepped all the cliches of the classical guitar repertory” – Conrad Wilson, The Herald, August 09 2008, reviewing Sean’s recent performance in St Mark’s Art Space, Edinburgh.
