Dundee singer Maureen Jelks is giving this month’s Wednesday lunchtime recital in the Wighton Heritage Centre, upstairs in Dundee Central Library.

Held on the first Wednesday of each month, the lunchtime recitals are an excellent opportunity to take a break from the busy week and listen to the finest talent from Dundee, Fife, Angus and occasionally further afield. And admission is completely free!

The recitals are held in the wonderful space of the Wighton Centre – a purpose-built performance and study space, which holds the superb collection of old Scottish music books bequeathed to the city by the 19th century merchant Andrew Wighton.

Maureen Jelks is also giving weekly song workshops in the Wighton Centre, every Tuesday at 2pm. There are also weekly instrument classes on Saturdays from 11am, in fiddle, whistle and harp.
